Overflow ball mill

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, evaluation of overflow ball mill energy consumption and the labeling of energy consumption level for overflow type ball mill for mining. This standard applies to overflow ball mills.

1.Terms and Definitions

What GB/T7679.5 established as well as the following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

1.1 Working conditions
The material to be ground with feed size not more than 12.5mm, sieve rate not less than 80%, and discharge size not more than 0.075mm. The work index of the material is 13kW-h/t, and the universal hardness is f=8~12; the working condition of the overflow ball mill is continuously feeding.

1.2 Energy consumption index
Under the specified standard working conditions, the ratio of the measured power to the processing capacity of the overflow ball mill is expressed in kW-h/t.

1.3 Value of energy saving evaluation
Achieve the energy consumption index value required for energy-saving products.

2.Technical requirements

2.1 The design, manufacture and quality of the overflow ball mill should comply with the provisions of GB/T25708.
2.2 During the life of the overflow ball mill, energy consumption should be reduced by designing under the premise of ensuring safety and performance. The service life of the main parts of the overflow ball mill shall be in accordance with the provisions of the following Table 1.

2.3 The index value of each grade of the energy consumption index of the overflow ball mill should not exceed the provisions of the following Table 2.

3.Test methods

3.1 The test method of processing capacity and measured power under standard working conditions of the overflow ball mill is carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of the test program approved by the prescribed procedures.
3.2 The energy consumption index of the overflow ball mill is calculated according to equation of E=N/Q
In the equation
E stands for energy consumption index, with the unit of kW.h/h
N stands for the actual measured power of the overflow ball mill, with the unit of kW
Q stands for the processing capacity of the overflow ball mill, with the unit of t/h

4.Overflow ball mill energy consumption evaluation

In the overflow ball mill energy consumption index table, when the index achieves grade 3, it is qualified product, when the index achieves grade 2 or grade 1, it is called energy saving overflow ball mill.

5.Energy consumption level labeling

5.1 The manufacturer shall determine the energy consumption level of the overflow ball mill in accordance with the provisions of this Standard and the test results.
5.2 The manufacturer shall specify the energy consumption level of the overflow ball mill in its product specification.
